<p>"Highlander" star Christopher Lambert suffered a <a href="https://foxnews.com/category/entertainment/events/illness" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">medical scare</a> after collapsing at Steel City Con in Philadelphia during a meet and greet over the weekend.</p><p>The 69-year-old had to leave the convention due to a "personal issue," according to the event's <a href="https://www.facebook.com/SteelCityComicCon/posts/pfbid02X5nrb3tLXyaSJFdgmHzw6RnCRJjUtqHMvxFFCzDgkaHHzKtmVWDCpBpvCarYvV47l?rdid=HjVov7f1xtgPZmMB&amp;share_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fshare%2Fp%2F1FBWQZHV6r%2F" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Facebook</a> page.</p><p>The French actor was subsequently taken to a local hospital by ambulance, according to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2026/08/08/highlander-star-christopher-lambert-collapses-at-comic-con/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">TMZ</a>.</p><p>A representative for Lambert told TMZ that the actor was "perfectly OK" and resting at his hotel. He had to sit down, but he is doing great today," organizers told the outlet.</p><p>A representative for Lambert did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.</p><p>The convention said Lambert was expected to return Sunday for scheduled photo opportunities and a noon Q&amp;A panel. Steel City Con’s official schedule lists Lambert as appearing Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the Aug. 7-9 event.</p><p>Lambert is best known for starring as immortal swordsman Connor MacLeod in the 1986 <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/entertainment/movies" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">cult classic "Highlander."</a> He also portrayed Tarzan in 1984’s "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes" and Lord Raiden in the 1995 <a href="https://foxnews.com/category/entertainment" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">film adaptation</a> of "Mortal Kombat."</p><p><a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? The injury forced him to cancel an appearance at Sweden’s SciFiWorld festival in March 2025.</p><p>Lambert is scheduled to make additional convention appearances later this month, including Fan Expo Chicago and Mad Monster Expo in North Carolina.</p>
